| Our kennel was founded
in 1991 and is registered with the Fédération
Cynologique Internationale and the Canadian Kennel
Club. Having bred litters on both sides of the
Atlantics, we work with European Boxers exclusively,
both of modern and nearly-lost ancient origins. |
| We do not breed to
the latest fashion or trend, but to our own
vision of the ideal Boxer that roots in deep respect
to the Standard and originators of the breed.
We find health, temperament and conformation
of the Boxer to be of equal importance, and
we strive to keep all three balanced in our breeding
program. All of our breeding dogs and bitches
are tested and cleared of hip dysplasia, spondylosis,
cardiac abnormalities and have annual eye and
thyroid checkups. We find it to be very important
to keep the working heritage of the breed and
pay special attention to our dogs possessing balanced
drives and proper Boxer attitude. Our Boxers are
focused, alert, fearless, energetic, smart dogs
who are a joy to live and work with. Because of
extensive traveling we have been doing with most
of our dogs, we find good nerves to be very important
in a Boxer - thanks to their balanced temperaments
our dogs are excellent travelers that are not
fazed by anything. They adjust easily to new situations,
love people and possess superb personalities.
|
| Conformation-wise
we pay special attention to the correct size
and construction, proper head proportions, true
Boxer expression and nobility. We have been blessed
with some very beautiful dogs and several important
wins they have achieved over the years, yet show
titles are never a first priority to us. We show
sparingly, mostly at the international breed specialties
where we can share our appreciation for the Boxer
with our friends and colleagues. Our boys are
usually 60-63 cm tall and weigh at 30-37 kg upon
full maturity, while girls are usually 55-58 cm
and weigh 24-28 kg. Some may be a little bigger
or smaller, but we do not breed for size or other
extreme traits - we focus on routinely obtaining
a correct Boxer that is athletic and beautiful,
fit and sound, healthy and stable, happy and friendly.
We are focused on producing dogs able to be versatile
performers and competitive breed dogs - ones able
to be healthy, pleasant companions for a decade
or more. We do not emphasize "overdone"
heads or size at the expense of health, type and
temperament. |
| We advocate holistic
maintenance. Our Boxers enjoy long healthy
lives the way nature intended. We strive to
keep their natural vitality and immunity uncompromised.
Our dogs do not have allergies, sensitive stomachs
and other ailments commonly labeled "Boxer
issues" by many. We feel that in the modern
world too many dogs have their health destroyed
by preventative medicine and the concept of treating
a problem rather than a whole dog, and we are
always glad to help other Boxer fanciers in their
attempt to learn more about proper care and diet.
Our dogs eat raw natural foods exclusively.
It is our conscious choice to ban any commercial
dog food from our kennel. All of our dogs are
free exercised every day. We make an issue of
spending time with our dogs individually when
we train them, bond with them and just do things
together. Our adults undergo a rigorous cross-training
program that is multi-discipline, and puppies
and young dogs are heavily socialized but moderately
exercised. All of our dogs are proficient in obedience
and are 100% reliable, and we introduce every
puppy that stays here to tracking, protection
work and agility trying to determine which area
holds most of their talents. |
| We expect our dogs to thrive on a simple
regimen of quality raw food, kindness, good
exercise and a full family life. We deliberately
do not raise "high-maintenance" or otherwise
fussy dogs and breed only dogs fundamentally robust.
We specifically select for physical vigor. |
| As of February 2006
we share our home with six Boxers,
4 months to 10.5 years old, and we co-own several
dogs in different countries. We have been breeding
an average of one litter a year, sometimes skipping
a year or two entirely. It is very important to
us to keep our dogs happy and provide them with
the best care possible. In our kennel no expense
is spared when it comes to our dogs' health
and comfort! We strongly believe that Boxers are
family dogs first and foremost, and all of our
dogs enjoy extensive daily interaction with us
and each other. As breeders, we have a
true love for the Boxer breed, and consider
our dogs as a part of our family. Eurozone
is one of the very few kennels where the dogs'
birthdays are celebrated. We have great confidence
in the quality of our dogs, and always have a
hard time "letting go". We raise our
puppies since birth and watch them grow, we nurture
them with love and care and we will not let our
time and energy go to waste on someone who does
not care about his dog or regards it simply as
his image enhancer. We put a lot of ourselves
into the Boxers we raise and we invest much time
and love, as well as money. Only very few select
people are given a privilege of having a Eurozone
puppy. |
| Eurozone is a small kennel and we have litters
fairly seldom. Like all reputable breeders
we breed only to replenish our own stock and continue
our bloodline - puppy sales are never a point
in having a litter. We do not believe there
is money to be made in Boxers if the breeding
is conducted properly. We research pedigrees carefully
and know the dogs (not just the names) in each
pedigree to learn of individual virtues and faults
and bloodline strengths and weaknesses. All of
our dogs are health tested in accordance with
the latest recommendations, and on more than several
occasions we have paid for a full panel of health
tests if the outside stud dog we wanted to use
had not been tested. We are one of the very few
kennels in Europe that tests dogs throughout their
lives, not only for "initial clearance"
at one year of age. We have tested dogs as
old as eight, nine, ten and eleven years old!
Each of our litters is carefully planned and no
expense is spared to ensure the best dog is found
for the best bitch. This means we often need to
travel thousands of kilometers to use outside
stud dogs. We breed only after a full and objective
assessment for quality of health, temperament
and type has been made of each particular Boxer
we use. We breed for a whole family dog
- not exclusively a "show" animal. We
specifically select breeding animals based on
genetic soundness. Our dogs are home reared, widely
socialized and are all cherished family companions
first and foremost. Sound, sane and Boxer
- that is our goal, and we have objective certifications
to demonstrate these traits, you don't have to
take our word for it. |
| We expect the puppies we sell to become members
of their owners' families. We don't discriminate
against buyers by category, but do reserve the
right to refuse sales at our own discretion. We
are seeking loving owners who are interested in
providing best care and at least basic training
to our puppies and will actively involve them
in family and other activities. We expect the
owners of our puppies to understand and appreciate
the hard work that went into creating their companions
and we want them to be proud of their Eurozone
Boxers! We do maintain a waiting list and suggest
you consider "calling early" as that
list can get rather long between litters. Puppies
are sold either as non-breeding companions (i.e.
pet and performance prospects) or as show and
breeding prospects to folks with whom we have
established exceptional trust. All are matched
by temperament and talents to specific homes,
so we need to know you to know if we have what
you want. If you would like to talk to us about
our puppies, please contact us and first tell
us what you think we should know about you. We
are happy to talk about the breed and happy to
educate, but hesitant to talk about sales until
we know to whom we are selling. For further information
on what is essentially going to be a somewhat
extended dialogue between potential buyer and
Eurozone Boxer kennel contact us - if we are going
to have a dog in common we need to first get to
know each other. |
| Our puppies are born in a clean and comfortable
"nest" lined with blankets we provide
for the dam in our bedroom. No bare wooden
floors and no newspapers here! For the first two
weeks of their lives the puppies are supervised
around the clock - we sleep in shifts, and there
is always one of us sitting beside the box making
sure every puppy finds its way to the milk bar.
The nest is carefully cleaned as needed, and we
have a thermometer/hydrometer that is routinely
used in the electronics industry to ensure that
temperature and humidity levels are optimal for
the puppies and the dam. All puppies are handled
daily and are subjected to early neurological
stimulation and small amounts of stress to help
them develop into well-rounded brave and calm
dogs. We dock the tails ourselves, using the banding
method, and there is no pain or bleeding ever.
We do not remove the front dewclaws on any of
our puppies - we believe dogs need them for traction.
We let the new owner decide about ear cropping,
and we strongly encourage ear cropping for show
dogs. Supplemental feeding starts at about three
weeks of age and consists of goat's milk we buy
fresh from the goat farmer nearby, best cuts of
organic beef and chicken, free range eggs and
pureed vegetables, but we do not wean the puppies
until the dam wishes to do so. Normally our puppies
continue nursing until 7 - 9 weeks of age. At
four weeks the puppies start getting trips outside.
They are introduced to new places and people,
strange surroundings, loud noises, different footing,
etc. We believe it is very important to start
socializing puppies early. They always have a
wide variety of toys for them to play. From six
weeks on the babies get to meet other dogs, the
cat and neighbors' children. We start taking them
for car trips, and they frequently accompany us
on picnics, season permitting. Those puppies that
are destined to do sports start with their drive
development exercises at this time. We observe
the puppies closely and know their personalities
very well by the time they go to their new homes
- this allows us to successfully match people
and puppies. The big evaluation comes at 8 weeks
- it is a lengthy procedure involving assessment
of each puppy's conformation and temperament.
At this time we decide on the puppies' quality
and final placement. In regards to ear cropping,
cropped and uncropped puppies can be equally attractive,
and many pet buyers these days opt to not crop,
given the expense and expertise required. We do
crop all of our own dogs and believe nothing compares
to the beauty of a regal and alert Boxer head
with cropped ears. This is done by an expert veterinarian
while under anesthesia. Aftercare is performed
by us (a service we offer to local Boxer owners
at no charge). |
| Puppies leave here having what is typical
for all well bred dogs - they have been tattooed/microchipped,
wormed/checked for worms, have been accessed for
general temperament and health, are started with
leash and house training, with crate training
and grooming procedures such as nail clipping,
ear cleaning, etc. All puppies see two different
veterinarians before they leave. We do ship if
necessary and have vast experiences with shipping
inland and overseas due to our involvement with
EBZ Custom Importing program in the past. Another
option is you fly in and take the pup home around
eight weeks when it is still small enough to be
taken on the flight in the cabin with you in a
soft-sided carrier. We expect to remain in contact
with all our puppy buyers and hope to hear from
you often. We are there for your questions and
to help whenever we can. As we said, we spare
no expense in breeding, care and upbringing of
our Boxers, and we want to place them with people
who will love and enjoy them. We like to think
of our Boxers being unique works of art - we know
how much hard work goes into making a beautiful
healthy and intelligent Boxer! We are eternally
grateful to the breeders of the past who preserved
the breed for us, and we have a serious responsibility
to the future generations to do the same. |
| Within these pages
you can find thousands of photos
of our Boxer dogs
and Boxer puppies,
as well as their pedigrees and data, read our
Code of Ethics, learn
about our previous
litters and upcoming
breedings. We are proud of making our kennel
and litter statistics openly available. Please
note we display info and pictures

have made the cut as show dogs. We hope you enjoy
this web-site and our magnificent
European Boxers and will feel that the work
we do is truly a labor of love. |
